Cure SF: The first three months

Three months ago we gave the San Francisco Treasurer and Tax Collector’s office sixty-one dollars, and as it turns out once you get that ball rolling, baby, you got a stew going! In the interest of transparency, community, and remembering for ourselves how it all felt, let’s look back at the last few weeks.

thank god we’re better at brisket than paperwork

It’s a lot of paperwork! It’s also a lot of questions that, full disclosure, we have no idea how you really answer. Everyone would love to know how much money you’re going to make in your first year. (Us too!) If you’re a sole proprietor without a physical location, you sure do write your own name and home address on a lot of things.

Please don’t show up asking for meat unless you texted us ahead of time.

how’d we do?

If success is measured in money, full disclosure, not great. But what we lacked in say “being a profitable company” or whatever, we made up for in a lot of other ways we’re proud of.

The point of Cure is to feed our community not only with snacks but with cold hard cash back to the types of mission-driven organizations that need our support most in 2025. Thanks to you showing up and buying our food, we were able to support SF Village, La Raza Centro Legal,
